Steven's report was very thorough and was presented very clearly. I would recommend booking the survey a week or two in advance. Ours was booked in with a couple of days notice which meant that the vendor hadn't responded to Steve's questionnaire by the time the survey took place. This meant that Steve couldn't test gas or electronics. It also meant that I wasn't able to be present for the survey which was disappointing as I was very interested. However, I do feel that Steve has done his best to explain the results of the survey since then
Steve provided an excellent and comprehensive report on the property we're looking to buy as part of our level 3 survey.
As first time buyers with little experience in the housing market and scarce excess money to rectify unforeseen issues, it was absolutely critical that we obtained a thorough and objective view of the property itself - especially given its age.
The report Steve provided was clear and highlighted all the areas for consideration, whilst also providing a suggested solution. Further to this, Steve was very receptive to our follow up call requesting clarification on some minor points we didn't understand due to our lack of expertise in this area, which was incredibly useful.
This has allowed us to have very productive further conversations with the vendors, and very possibly saved us significant amount of money in the future.
Can't recommend highly enough!
Steven has undertaken and arranged EPC surveys on several of our properties, all done without fuss and easy to arrange.
Very pleased with my home buyers survey from Steve. He has carried out 2 homebuyers surveys for me now, one was a level 2 survey and another was a level 3 and they were both excellent. Incredibly detailed and informative.
Very pleased with the comprehensive level 3 survey report we received from Steve. It was quite clear by the way the report read, the attention to detail, and the nature of the checks conducted, that he had spent a decent amount of time at the property to go through things thoroughly and methodically, not just paying lip service or box ticking. The report highlighted some important things to note to maintain the integrity of the property long term, and provided useful advice on what to consider prior to exchange. Steve was quite happy to take questions over the phone afterwards and helped with understanding the depth of issues highlighted and shared his experience and knowledge. We paid a fair but moderate price but for sure was value for money compared to the cheapest of surveyors if you were to read those reviews whereby it seems no great care is taken. Would highly recommend Steve if you want your survey done properly and to a good standard.
